Compact harmonic filter
for retrofit and MCC frames

GRIDSINE-C is the active harmonic filter of the Compact Series. It uses the same high-density 3-level IGBT module as GRIDVAR-C, with firmware set up for harmonic filtering only, on 400V systems.

Modules are rated 30 A to 150 A. With >95% filtering effectiveness, THDi at the point of common coupling drops below 5%, which meets IEEE 519 and IEC 61000-3-4 requirements.

Filtering covers the 2nd to 50th harmonic, with priority selection per order. The drawer-type cassette slides into an existing MCC frame, so the module suits retrofit projects where cabinet space is limited.

2nd–50th Harmonic Filtering

Filtering range 2nd to 50th harmonic. Each order can be selected on its own, so capacity goes to the orders your non-linear loads produce.

Drawer-type cassette

Same housing as GRIDVAR-C SVG. The drawer-type cassette slides into an existing MCC frame, which is what makes it fit retrofit projects with little cabinet space.

Filtering effectiveness >95% at rated capacity. THDi at the PCC falls below 5%, which meets IEEE 519.

−25°C to +55°C Operation

Operating range −25°C to +55°C, with derating above 45°C. Covers cold-climate industrial environments and outdoor enclosures.

Up to 20 Modules in Parallel

A system can start at one 30 A module and grow to 20 in parallel, in Master/Slave or Master/Master mode.

Applications

Applications: retrofit into existing 400V cabinets

Three cases where the drawer format and the 400V rating decide the choice.

VFD-Heavy Plants

Variable frequency drives are the main source of 5th, 7th, 11th and 13th harmonics. GRIDSINE-C targets these orders from a drawer module in the existing frame.

Data Centers

UPS input stages and server power supplies inject harmonics that must stay within the grid code limit at the PCC. 30 A to 150 A drawer modules go into the existing cabinet.

Semiconductor

Clean room equipment and precision process tools need a clean supply. Compact AHF modules fit into the existing MCC frames.
